X's 0 <br />r i arks and Recreation Needs Assessment Experten <br />COMMUNITY INTEREST AND OPINION NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY (2006) <br />(2008)(2010) <br />Oakland County, Michigan <br />Leisure Vision conducted a Community Attitude and Interest Survey for the Oakland County <br />Parks and Recreation Commission from October through December of 2006 to help establish <br />priorities for the future of parks greenways, trails, wildlife habitats, recreation facilities, <br />programs and services within the County. The survey was designed to obtain statistically valid <br />results from households throughout Oakland County. The survey was administered by a <br />combination of mail and phone. <br />In October 200 6,, surveys <br />were mailed to a random <br />sample of 3,000 households <br />in Oakland County. <br />Approximately three days <br />after the surveys were <br />mailed; each household that <br />received a survey also <br />received an electronic voice <br />message encouraging them <br />to complete the survey. <br />The goal was to obtain a <br />total of at least 600 <br />completed surveys. This <br />goal was accomplished, with <br />a total of 607 surveys have been completed.
