X's 0 <br />r i arks and Recreation Needs Assessment Experten <br />PARKS AND RECREATION NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY (2008) <br />Hoffman Estates Park District <br />Leisure Vision conducted a Community Survey in partnership with the Hoffman Estates Park <br />District as part of a Strategic Plan during the fall of 2008 to establish priorities for the future <br />improvement of parks and recreation facilities, programs and services within the community. <br />The survey was designed to obtain statistically valid results from households throughout the <br />Hoffman Estates Park District. The survey was administered by a combination of mail and <br />phone. The goal was to obtain a total of at least 800 completed surveys from Hoffman Estates <br />Park District households. This goal was accomplished, with a total of 812 surveys having been <br />completed. The results of the random sample of 812 households have a 95% level of confidence <br />with a precision of at least +/-3.4%. <br />PARKS AND RECREATION NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY (2008) <br />Longview, Washington <br />The Cities of Longview and Kelso along with Cowlitz County conducted a Community Attitude <br />and Interest survey during January and February 2008 to determine the feasibility of constructing <br />a new regional community center to serve citizen needs in the two cities and parts of the County. <br />The survey was administered by a combination of mail and phone. <br />Leisure Vision worked extensively with Cities of Longview and Kelso along with Cowlitz <br />County officials in the development of the survey questionnaire. This work allowed the survey <br />to be tailored to issues of strategic importance to effectively plan the future system. <br />The goal was to obtain a total of at least 600 completed surveys. This goal was accomplished, <br />with a total of 735 surveys having been completed. The results of the random sample of 735 <br />households have a 95% level of confidence with a precision of at least +/-3.6%. <br />NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY AS COMPONENT FOR MASTER PLAN (2008) <br />Hillsboro, Oregon <br />Leisure Vision conducted a statistically valid mail/phone survey for this Oregon City. Leisure <br />Vision administered 500 surveys for the city, with a margin of error of +/-4.4%. The survey was <br />conducted as part of a parks and recreation master plan. The survey was administered by mail <br />and phone. <br />Extensive cross-tabular analysis of survey responses was conducted for a wide range of <br />demographic factors, including age of respondents, gender, household size and types, income, <br />education,, etc. Results were also being compared to Leisure Vision's national database of <br />survey responses. <br />Leisure Vision Needs Assessment Experience - 34 <br />
