DATE: 5/12/2008 <br />ITEM NO: 12.a <br />� 1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br />2 1.1 Based on the motion of April 28, 2008, the Roseville City Council should consider the <br />1 3 adoption of a resolution to deny the request by Red Dog Holdings LLC, for a CONDITIONAL <br />4111 USE PERMIT to allow a pawn shop in the existing building at 2181 — 2195 Snelling Ave. based <br />5 on findings of fact as contained in said resolution. <br />7 2.1 On April 28, 2008 the Roseville City Council voted to deny the request by Red Dog Holdings <br />LLC, for a CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT to allow a pawn shop in the existing building at 2181 — <br />2195 Snelling Avenue. <br />1 At the April 28t" meeting, the City Council directed staff to bring back a resolution <br />1 � establishing findings to support the denial of the CUP request. <br />1� 2 2.3 The City Attorney has drafted a resolution that asserts Q for the Council to use as the <br />1 rationale for denying the CUP request. Specifically, the resolution states that the City <br />1 1111 Council finds: <br />1� 5 a. That the proposed use will have an adverse impact on market value of surrounding <br />1 6 properties; <br />1 7 b. That the proposed use would have an adverse impact on public facilities in the area. <br />1 f C.
