Andre <br />On June 29, 1383 1 signed and deliveried to the City an agreement <br />proposed, by the City to, resolve the dispute bewtween the City <br />and myself concerniLng accrued vacation. <br />The agirelement (copy attached) provides, for a payment of $48xOOOs <br />M <br />and a wai i ver of any and, all claims against the City. The <br />agreement has 'been approved as tio form by the City Attorney. <br />Finally, the agreement reflects a compromise of my oriwtinal <br />claim of $68,000, which, ILnoluded accrued vacation, interest., <br />plenalties. and, legal costs. <br />i have complied with every demand made by the City, and the <br />Mi <br />signed agreement is the culmlinatlion. of eight months of delay anit <br />niegot liation. <br />I incurred consIderable legal expenses on the assumption that <br />negotiatilons, were, undertaken in good faith. I signed the <br />agreement in good faith and with the understanding it was be-l"rig <br />proposed in good fa <br />I am now requesting that formal acti'Lon be taken on this matter <br />at -its rezular meeting on July 1,989; and that the CIILty <br />C'o,uncil approve and, exelcutle the agreement as proposed by the <br />City and aareed to by, myself. <br />I am hoplang, Bi matter can finally be put to rest so that my <br />family, and I can get on with our lives, and the City Council can <br />get on, with governing the City- <br />Yours truly. <br />110,011 <br />a,mes F.
