Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: November 22, 2011 Item No: 6 <br />Item Description: Neighborhood Traffic Management Program <br />Background: <br />The Commission reviewed the draft Neighborhood Traffic Management Program at the October <br />meeting. Staff has made a number of changes based on feedback received. We have attached a <br />revised draft of the main body of the policy for approval. <br />Some of the changes that were made: <br />• Reviewed policy for consistent use of defined terms. <br />• Reviewed the toolbox of Traffic Management Strategies, eliminating some. <br />• Reorganized some sections for continuity. <br />• Updated text from passive to active voice. <br />• Expanded Table 4 to include additional maintenance costs. <br />• Added resident cost participating when the traffic study calls for used of consultants. <br />• Added process for staff removal of strategies <br />• Created a definition appendix <br />A couple of items that we would like to focus on for the commission discussion: <br />• Resident cost participation when the traffic study calls the use of consultants <br />• Process for Staff removal of strategies. <br />• Discussion of Traffic Circles and Roundabouts <br />• Definitions <br />Staff will update the Toolbox detail sheets to fit the format of the overall plan. <br />Recommended Action: <br />Recommend Neighborhood Traffic Management Program to City Council for further review and <br />approval <br />Attachments: <br />A.
