<br />At a, previous work session, the City Council asked that a draft

<br />resolution be formulated pointing out the fact that the land adjacent
<br />to the Library shouldbe considered R-1,, and that 'it was highly
<br />unlikely, this particular desiognation would change. A draft resolution

<br />At the last Counicil meeting, this item, was continued to allow the
<br />developer to be priese,n,t to discuss the resolution. Attached is a

<br />As an update,, the, Policy and Planning Committee of the Board voted to
<br />rel-examine the whole plan.
<br />ir The Library Board,, at its, February 9 meeting, reviewed a number of
<br />options, for construction of the Moundsi'Vilew 0
<br />,, Shoreview, Roseville an
<br />Maplewood Libraries that, would keep total expenditures within the $1
<br />million authorized, for bonding.
<br />The Roseville Library currently has, 1,9,000 square feet,, The options

<br />ranging from 1,61000 to 19�,000 square fielet The options also call for
<br />iturchasingi one or two of the homes north, of the current Library, and
<br />the, rear portions of solme of the single family lots to the east,
<br />e Library Board, at, the conclusion of their discussion, adopted a
<br />motion, that "it is the Board's intention to build the four libraries,

<br />staying within the au,t,h,oiri,zed $15 million. Further that the Board
<br />a
<br />intends to make a final recommendation, within thirty days,

<br />recommendation, and it is unknown at this time what the Commis-sioners
<br />position might be.,
