Railroad Authority. These "Include the preparation of a <br />comprehensive plan for, light rail transit for Ramsey County and numerous <br />Is <br />rtublic meetings relating to the preparation of this comprehensive plan.- <br />Ramsey County is asking for two appointments. One would be an elected <br />or appointed official to serve on an, intergovernmental committee <br />V pi <br />consisting of' officials from municipaes throughout Ramsey County. <br />'The other committee would be a technical committee consisting of staff <br />member's from Ramsey County municipalities, adjacent counties, and other <br />4 <br />agienicies, <br />In reviewing, the- situation, the staf f suggests that the council consider <br />appointing one member of the counc il to serve on this comm ittee. As an <br />alternative, a member, of the Planning commission may also be interested <br />serving, From the staff's perspective, 'it i's Suggested that Karl <br />Keel from, the Public Works Department be the staff person appointed to <br />this comm, itteei <br />The counc31.1 recently recell"ved in the Rosevillie Reader a copy of the <br />letter from Commissioner John Finley of the Ramsey County Board who <br />serves as chairman of the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority. <br />This letter requested that the appointments to the intergovernmental <br />,and. technical committees be made.
