<br />The Rosieville Planning Commission at its September 7, 1988 meet ing
<br />recommended appriova,l of a Spleic imal Use Perm 'it to allow a drop in
<br />child care center within the Loehmann's, Plaza Shopping Center at
<br />2480 N. Fairview Ave. subject to, staff review and approval.

<br />The City Council on, September 12,, 1,988 continued this matter until
<br />September 26, 19�88 and directed the applicant to develop a plan to
<br />deal with nei,ghbilorh,00d, concerns relating to trash,, dumpster
<br />screeI ing, landsciaping,, and better maintenance of the property
<br />griounds.
<br />I have worked for, the, Past year or more on various complaints
<br />reigarding the dumpsters, debris, and maintenance at this proverty
<br />with the manager, Larry Erdos, and T'anurb Development Inc. The

<br />dumpste,r screening was to have been revised and approved by city
<br />staff last yeari,,, but the plans were never received by the city,
<br />The Special Use Permit for the child care center brought into focus

<br />some of these existing problem areas,, and these were now addressed.

<br />I have talked on several occcasions, with jim Dahlberg of KIKE
<br />Architects Inc.1 regarding the dumpster screening plans. I did
<br />receive the latest rie,vis,ed plans that were developed based on Howard
<br />Dahlgen's suggiestions. These plans were received on November 9,
<br />1,988, and, have not been review by city staff as of yet.
