<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota was duly held on Monday, the <br />25th day of November, 1996, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Goedeke, Maschka, Wiski, and Wall, <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Wiski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9359 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE PUBLICATION OF THE TITLE AND SUMMARY OF <br />ORDINANCE NUMBERS 1175A and 1176 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission has adopted recommendations <br />concerning a series of ordinance amendments to clarify the City's public hearing process <br />after a public hearing held on August 14, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved Ordinance No. 1175A and Ordinance <br />No. 1176 to the City Code to clarify the City's public hearing process after public hearings <br />held on November 25, 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 412.191, Subdivision 4 allows cities to publish only <br />the title and summary of lengthy ordinances where the title and summary of the ordinance <br />would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Roseville <br />approves the text of the proposed summary of Ordinance Numbers 1175A and 1176; a <br />copy of said text is marked Exhibit A and attached hereto and made a part hereof, and <br />further determines that said text clearly informs the public of the intent and effect of the <br />ordinances. <br /> <br />The City Council directs the City Manager to publish Exhibit A in the legal <br />newspaper. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member Goedeke, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Mastel, Goedeke, Maschka, Wiski, and Wall, and the following voted against <br />the same: None. <br />
