City of Roseville <br />Ethics Commission Meeting Minutes <br />August 13, 2008 <br />Call to Order: <br />Acting Chairperson Luann Pederson called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. <br />Members Present: <br />LuAnne Pederson, Melissa Weldon, and Patrick Schmidt <br />Members Absent: <br />Duane Cady <br />Others Present: <br />City Manager Bill Malinen, City Attorney Scott Anderson <br />Selection of Chair and Vice -Chair <br />Schmidt moved to select Luann Pederson as Chair of the Commission Weldon seconded. <br />Ayes all. <br />Schmidt moved to select Melissa Weldon as Vice Chair of the Commission. Pederson <br />seconded. Ayes all. <br />Swearing in New Commissioner <br />The recently appointed Commissioner, Margo Fjelstad was unable to attend. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Schmidt moved, Pederson seconded approval of the meeting minutes of May 14, 2008 as <br />presented. Ayes all. <br />Review of joint meeting with City Council <br />The Commission discussed the concept of making Ethics training mandatory as a topic <br />for the upcoming year. <br />Confirm date of November 13, 2008 for 2008 Ethics Training <br />The Commission confirmed that the 2008 training will take place on November 13th. <br />They discussed the use of questions and the survey responses in preparation for the <br />training. <br />
