ACTION RiEQUESTED:
PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS:
it
James Herbert House
North of Gluek Lane South,
Westerly of Fairview Avenue
(see sketch,)
Approval of Lot Split
I* Attached is a copy of
a, section mmap of the
Midway Acres plat as
initially Platted by the
Gluek Brothers back, in
the early
1950s. You
will note that we have
shaded Lot, 4, which is owned by
the applicant,
Dr. House. The lot contains 1.,77 acres with a
frontage on Gluek Lane
South of 558 feet.
Obviously, however, that
frontage
is somewhat
misleading in the sense
that the lot, is triangular shaped
of which the
558 feet is the longest
leg.
standpoint, the asset is
that it
301 Dr. House has
noted to the staff that
he has
met with all of the
owners in the
Gluey Lane area and that they react positively to his
Proposal. It
would appear, from an
aesthetic
standpoint that the
addition of a house on this site will not
have a
deleterious impact on
the residential,
area. 1 The vast, frontage
of this
triangular site, as it
exists,, sets up
a considerable distance between the
residences. From
the community
standpoint, the asset is
that it
provides another fine
residential site
in Roseville.1
The Engineering Staff has informed us that a portion of the lot is
utilized fair storm waiter storage purposes, The staff notes that this
capacity for storage has to be maintained somewhere an the site,
though the, exact location of the panding area may be changed.
