The lever machines weigh approximately 850 pounds, <br />and truciks with lift hoists must be rented to transport them <br />11 <br />to and from the polls. In aiddition, because of the weight, <br />they ia,rie difficult for our employees to move, <br />9 <br />3*1 The amount of time riequiried to, prepare the machines for the <br />election, is dramatically less than the lever machines. <br />4o The counting of the absentee ballots at the polls at the ent <br />of the day, is much easier for the judges because the same <br />ballots are used for absentee votes and may simply be placed <br />into, the machine and counted, Therefore, the judges do not <br />need to spei,nd hours at Statie-widle elections counting the <br />absentee ballots by, hand. <br />7'.
