REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DATE: 7!13!87 ITEM NO .: +e - P- Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: Reports and recommendations Item Description: Petition for reconstruction of Chatsworth Street between Larpenteur Avenue and Roselawn Avenue, ST- P -87 -12 The property owners along Chatsworth Street between Larpenteur Avenue and Roselawn Avenue have submitted a petition to the City of Roseville requesting that their street be reconstructed and the necessary storm drainage be installed. This petition was signed by 78% of the property owners. This street is a so- called problem category roadway and, therefore, the percentage of petition is more than sufficient to justify further investigation. This particular roadway as mentioned above will also require storm drainage. Due to the fact that it is probable that other areas will have drainage that joins the Chatsworth drainage and then have a common outlet to the east, it is anticipated that an additional meeting will be needed with the property owners on the other streets to advise them of this situation and determine their interest in having a similar project. This, however, would not preclude the work beginning on the feasibility study for Chatsworth Street. • i1 f s Adoption of a resolution declaring the adequacy of a petition and ordering the preparation of a feasibility report for project ST- P -87 -12 for Chatsworth Street and surrounding area.
