Dorso, outlining his proposal to
continue the use of a portion of' his property for the exterior storage
of automobile, and truck, bumpers., We are not certain when the bumper
storage operation began, though it has been going an for a good number
of yearisii The storage of bumpers in this manner is not allowed in the
industrial zoning districte
Several, monthis ago, we met with a riepriesent,a,t,ive of the Keystone
I
Autiomotive, Co. ("who owns the bumpers) suggesitin,g that the bumpers be
riiemo, ved and that, they be storied in a warehouse where such storage *Is
allowable.1
3. The Cifty *is now at the development stage where we have prospects
®I for the redevielopment of' the parcels east of Cleveland Avenue
and Wialist of L,angt,on La,kel. Intieriest in this area, has been accelerated
I i I
because of the planning fair and the approval of the, redevelopment of
tihe propertiles weist of Cleveland Avenue, includiLng the property directly
across the street occupied by the Ga,rireitt, Truck Line, Inc.
5* The use proposed is si milar to othler used car parts that are legally
stored outside. 1 Whether such "Junk yard"-type storage is appropriate in
Roseville today is a, matter of' serious concern. It would be helpful if
members of t,he Planning Commission and Council would view the area
to ascertain the appropriateness (or lack thereof) for the proposed
continuance of' this use..
