Sergeant Josh Arneson applied for a grant, through Ramsey County Emergency <br />Management / Homeland Security (RCEMHS), to receive a Thermal Imager to be installed on the East <br />Metro Swat BearCat. <br />In January, the Police Department received notice that Sergeant Arneson's grant request was approved <br />from monies provided through the Urban Area Security Initiative Grant Program. RCEMHS will <br />reimburse the City of Roseville up to $,30,000 for the purchase, shipping and installation of the unit. <br />financial Impacts <br />As this item is being granted to us, there is no cost to the City. This item will not be replaced and does not <br />have to be depreciated. Maintenance costs are limited. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends Council accept the grant award for the Thermal Imager and installation. <br />Council Actl'*on Requested <br />Accept the RCEMHS grant award. <br />Prepared by: Sgt.
