REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION I-07m,win WiNAM 11 1.0 BACKGROUND 2 1.1 The substantial updates to Roseville's Zoning Code, which were the focus of much of the 3 Planning Commission's efforts in 20 10, were approved by the City Council on December 4 131 20 10 and became effective when the ordinance summary was published in the 5 Roseville-Little Canada Review on December 21,2010. As the conclusion of this update process drew near, Planning Division staff noted that more amendments to the Zoning 7 Code would be forthcoming, both to update chapters which were not rewritten during the 8 recent effort and to correct and amend parts of the new ordinances as staff became more 9 familiar with the new Zoning Code on a day-to-day basis. The present proposal 110 represents both of these kinds of Zoning Code TEXT AMENDMENTS. 1111 1.2 The remainder of this staff report will identify the various chapters in which the 12 amendments are proposed, and offer a brief explanation of the amendments and of the 13 rationale behind the proposed amendments. The amendments themselves will be shown 14 in bold and text in the excerpts of the pertinent chapters accompanying this 15 report as attachments; note that to track the proposed changes in this way, the 1 amendments have been prepared using Microsoft Word and so will not have the same 1 7 formatting as any final adopted amendments to the official Zoning Code as developed 018 with Adobe InDesign. ,19 2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATION 20 Planning Division staff concurs with the recommendation of the Planning Commission to 21 approve the proposed Zoning Code TEXT AMENDMENTS. 22 3.0 SUMMARY OF SUGGESTED ACTION 23 3.1 Based on the comments in this report and the input received during the public hearing, 24 adopt an ordinance approving the proposed TEXT AMENDMENTS to the Zoning Code. 25 3.2 Approve an ordinance summary.
