Attachment A <br />EXT'RACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and, notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville., County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 18th day of May, 2009, <br />at <br />The following members were present: Roe, Johnson, lhlan, Pust and Klausinb c, <br />and the following werie absent. none. <br />1 10 <br />Mayor Klausing ".ntr duced the �following resolution and moved its adoptioll <br />RESOLUTION No. 10711 <br />Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Certain <br />Grant Applications on behalf of the City of Roseville <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has applied for a variety of grants whi.ch benefit the <br />City; an <br />WHEREAS,, the Roseville City Council encourages, staff to continue to identify and <br />apply, for grants as a means to fund the policies, priorities and programs of the City, as <br />established by actions of the Council; and <br />WHEREAS, grant submittals sometimes require verification of authority to submit an. <br />application on behalf olf'the City, and the required tirnieframes for submittal sometimes <br />may not al,low, for Council authorization prior to application deadlines. <br />NOW.'THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED, -that the City of Roseville does hereby <br />authorize the City Manager to execute grant applications on behalf of the City of <br />te <br />Rolsevil in cases where Council authorization is not required or is required but cannot <br />Ie practically obtained prior to an application deadline, and where any matching funds or <br />other city financial obligation related to the grant are accounted for either in, the City <br />budget or by previous Council actio n', and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager will report any such grant <br />applications to the City, Council after the application is s�ubmitted, <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolutton was duly seconded by Member <br />Roe, and upon a vote being taken. thereon, the following voted, "in favor thereof: Roe, <br />Johnson, itilan'l, Pust and Klausing <br />gind, the following voted against the same: none. <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly plassed and adopted. <br />
