Commissions advise the Council on specific actions and offer citizens a way to <br />provide input on issues of importance. <br />Four Commissions,, Ethics,, Human Rights, Parks and Recreation and Planning, have two <br />vacancies each,, and the Police Civil Services has one vacancy for the three-year appointment. <br />Terms run from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2014. <br />In addition,, the Planning u I ommission has a vacancy for a term that expires March 31, 2013. <br />On March 14 and March 21 , the Council will have interviewed 29 applicants. One applicant <br />remains interested but could not attend either interview dates. <br />Commission Chairs were invited to participate in the interview process and offer their <br />comments.
