2 In a recent survey of 10 metro area cities that serve similar populations (25,000 — 45,000) and allow private <br />33 liquor stores, the following observations were made.- <br />0 <br />35 7 Cities had no restrictions on the number of off-sale liquor licenses. <br />36 • 1 City has no restrictions on the number of off-sale liquor licenses; however each location had to be <br />37 at least 1,000 feet from the next location. <br />38 1 City restricted the number of off-sale liquor licenses to no more than I per 6,000 residents. <br />39 1 City restricted the number of off-sale liquor licenses to no more than I per 7,000 residents. <br />40 <br />°11 Staff will also note that the Cities of Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Brooklyn Center recently amended their <br />42 City Code to provide a separate licensing category for small breweries like the one being proposed.
