Information Reports and Other Business (Verbal Reports by Staff and Board Members) <br />18 <br />19 <br />a.Discuss Home and Garden Fair <br />20 <br />Ms. Kelsey publicly announced the viewing audience highlights of this weekend’s Living <br />21 <br />Smarter Fair, including free energy audits for the first 100 residents signing up, in addition to <br />22 <br />partnering with the Home Energy Squad providing for discounted visits by them to suggest <br />23 <br />applicable energy-saving home improvements and their economic benefits. Ms. Kelsey <br />24 <br />addressed the one workshop scheduled at 11:30 a.m. at the fair with the intention of providing <br />25 <br />an opportunity for citizens to attend, whether a Roseville resident or not and still qualifying for <br />26 <br />a discounted an energy audit and visit by the Home Energy Squad. <br />27 <br />28 <br />Ms. Kelsey announced last minute details and schedules for the upcoming Living Smarter Fair <br />29 <br />this weekend; and distributed several items that would be available at the Fair; and noted the <br />30 <br />recently-completed promotional banners that were on display in the room and would also be on <br />31 <br />display during the Fair to make the public aware of the activities of the HRA. <br />32 <br />33 <br />Ms. Kelsey reviewed the Living Smarter flyers distributed in the Roseville Review and in take- <br />34 <br />home backpacks with area school students to market the Fair, in addition to the Living Smarter <br />35 <br />radio advertising campaign on “The Current” and “92 Rocks.” Ms. Kelsey noted updates to <br />36 <br />the marketing campaign from its inception; and the data tracking underway in determining <br />37 <br />interest in the Living Smarter website, with the most interest indicated in the advantages based <br />38 <br />on Roseville’s proximity to both downtowns and reduced commute times; and its library and <br />39 <br />educational systems. <br />40 <br />41 <br />b.Board & Staff Reports <br />42 <br />Ms. Kelsey distributed new atlases recently prepared by the City’s GIS staff; and asked that <br />43 <br />they return the old copies to staff to recycle for student use in area School Districts. <br />44 <br />45 <br />To ensure a quorum, Ms. Kelsey sought an update on Member schedules for the March 15, <br />46 <br />2011 HRA meeting, since it was also spring break for Roseville School District No. 623. <br />47 <br />48 <br />Chair Maschka advised that he would be gone; remaining members advised that they would be <br />49 <br />available for the March 15, 2011regular HRA meeting. <br />50 <br />51 <br />11.
