Request for HRA Action <br />Date: 05-17-11 <br />Item No: 9.a. <br />Director Approval: Agenda Section: <br /> Action <br />Description: Authorizing the RHRA to work with Rondo Land Trust with foreclosed <br /> properties. <br />Requested Action: <br />Based upon the Rondo Land Trust (RLT) presentation the RHRA staff would like to facilitate <br />opportunities for the RLT to work with homeowners from the foreclosure process in Roseville to <br />help them remain in their homes. <br />Background: <br />One of the goals for the RHRA work plan for 2011 was to explore partnering with the <br />Community Land Trust to provide services and assistance in Roseville. Since Roseville did not <br />qualify for any federal or state funds to assist with foreclosed properties, RHRA staff believes <br />that working with the RLT would be a way in order to address some of the foreclosed families in <br />addition address maintaining affordable housing options in Roseville. <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that the RHRA Board authorize staff to facilitate opportunities with the RLT to <br />assist potential displaced homeowners from the foreclosure process in Roseville. <br />Suggested RHRA Action: <br />Motion to approve RHRA staff to work with the RLT to assist potential displaced homeowners <br />from the foreclosure process in Roseville. <br />Prepared by: Jeanne Kelsey, RHRA Housing Program Manager (651) 792-7086 <br /> HRA working with Rondo Land Trust <br /> <br />
