REQUEST FOR HRA ACTION Date: 8-16-11 Item No: 9a Staff Approval: Agenda Section: Action Items Item Description: 2011 Work Plan Update Background Staff would like to take this opportunity to allow the RHRA to review the 2011 work plan and progress that RHRA has made. The 2011 RHRA Work Plan, adopted on February 15, 2011, (Attachment A) is attached. Some of the accomplishments that have been completed: Living Smarter Fair was held on February 19, 2011 Green Remodeling Plan Book should be completed by the end of August 2011. Partnered with the Rondo Community Land Trust regarding foreclosure prevention assistance Annual Joint meeting with the Council July 25, 2011 Ongoing Work Plan Items: Quarterly Financial Updates Understanding the challenges and issues of Multi-Family Rental Housing in Roseville Explore use of federal stimulus dollars for housing Promote Roseville Green Building/Remodeling Award program Continue support Neighborhood Enhancement Program Continued efforts to market RHRA services and programs RHRA website updating HRA Quarterly Living Smarter Newsletter Quarterly Updates to City Council and one annual Joint meeting Exploring affordable senior housing that was identified in the 2009 Comprehensive Market Study Free energy audits to 100 Roseville homeowners. Exploring programs to engage Multi-Family Housing Managers and Owners Continue promoting Roseville’s neighborhoods and housing thru the “Living Smarter” marketing campaign. Exploring ideas with the Roseville Police Department to address problem properties Suggested RHRA Action No action is required. Staff is presenting this information so that board members can discuss 2011 Work Plan accomplishments and some of the items that are being worked on.
