HRA Meeting <br />Minutes – August 16, 2011 <br />Page 4 <br />1 <br />Chair Maschka sought information from staff on whether a Realtors Seminar was scheduled <br />2 <br />this year. <br />3 <br />4 <br />Housing Manager Kelsey advised that one had been scheduled at City Hall on November 16, <br />5 <br />2011 from 8:30 a.m. to Noon; and that staff was working cooperatively with the Saint Paul <br />6 <br />Area Realtor’s Association, who provided marketing for the event. Ms. Kelsey noted that <br />7 <br />forty-eight (48) realtors attended in 2010; and she was anticipating even more in 2011for this <br />8 <br />continuing education event. Ms. Kelsey noted that staff had been advised that an event <br />9 <br />scheduled in the fall of the year should receive even more interest from realtors. <br />10 <br />11 <br />Chair Maschka noted his discussions with a realtor who was of the opinion that Roseville <br />12 <br />currently provided an excellent option for homeowners in the metropolitan area. <br />13 <br />14 <br />c.Vacant Board Member Interviews August 22, 2011 <br />15 <br />Executive Director Trudgeon advised that to-date, two (2) candidates for the HRA vacancy <br />16 <br />were scheduled for interviews. <br />17 <br />18 <br />Mr. Trudgeon noted that the City Council would be setting their Preliminary Levy at their <br />19 <br />September 12, 2011 meeting; and reminded members that the HRA levy had been kept flat for <br />20 <br />the third year in a row; and that staff would continue to monitor the budget process and <br />21 <br />provide periodic reports to the HRA Board. <br />22 <br />23 <br />11.
