Last May, Column Financial filed <br />a foreclosure notice on the property's $6.4 million <br />mortgage. <br />Complexes in Newport and Forest Lake are now in <br />bankruptcy. The two Jaweed companies owning <br />those buildings filed for Chapter 11 protection, <br />which results in reorganization, in October. <br />Tait Danielson-Castillo, director of the Frogtown <br />Neighborhood Association, said foreclosure is what <br />ultimately sank two of the worst landlords in his St. <br />Paul neighborhood four years ago. <br />"Nine times out of 10, that's what it comes down to," <br />. <br />Danielson-Castillo said "They end up killing <br />themselves. ...
