Introductions/Public Comment Invited <br /> Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br /> encouraged. <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes of the August 2, 2011 Meeting <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of August 2, 2011. Please be prepared to approve or <br /> amend. <br /> Requested Commission Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of Aug. 2, 2011 <br /> 3. Commissioner Community Engagement Task Force Report <br /> Greg Simbeck and Randall Doneen serve on the Human Rights Commission Community <br /> Engagement Task Force as a representative of the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br /> Simbeck and Doneen will be prepared to report on the latest progress on the community <br /> forum effort. <br /> Requested Commission Action: Commission Discussion and feedback <br /> 4. Master Plan Implementation Discussion <br /> This is continued discussion about the "path to implementation' . <br /> Commission representatives and staff will plan to review progress to date. This is a time to <br /> gather continued guidance/direction from the entire commission. <br /> Enclosed is the information that was provided at the August 22, 2011 City Council meeting. <br /> The approach, financing method and the $19,025,000 amount was approved. <br /> Included in your packet are the notes that were taken from the exercise at the July 28th <br /> community meeting/workshop on the questions asked on what to include, not include, higher <br /> priority and lower priority. Please be prepared to discuss and comment on the suggestions <br /> offered. <br /> The next step is to hold a public hearing on the more specific projects as they are finalized. <br /> The latest information will be provided at the meeting. <br /> Requested Commission Action: Discuss progress on the implementation process and <br /> gather continued guidance <br /> 5. Budget Update/Discussion <br /> Included in your packet is a spreadsheet from the August 22, 2011 City Council meeting that <br /> outlines the City Managers revised recommended budget indicating the cuts initially <br /> proposed and the adjusted cuts. This revised recommendation will restore the proposed <br /> reduction of one full time recreation postion but still maintains the $140,000 reduction in the <br />
