Roseville Parks and Re(:reation Survey
About the National Research Center Team
About National Research Center, Inc.
National Research Center, Inc. (NRC), founded in 1994, is a leading research and evaluation firm
focusing on the information requirements of the public sector, including local and state
governments, the federal government, special districts, non-profit agencies, health care providers
and foundations. NRC principals have been leading the strategic use of surveys for local
governments since 1991, when the principals of the company wrote the first edition of what
became the classic text on citizen surveying: Citizen Surveys: How to do them, how to use them, what they
mean. We have pioneered the citizen survey industry, creating new and innovative tools and
analysis that provide our clients with the most useful information so they can take action and
implement new policies or programs or modify existing ones. We recently published a second book
to help City's understand how to use survey results effectively: Citizen Surveys:A comprehensive guide
to making them matter(published by the International City/County Management Association,
January, 2009). While the project lead and manager have graduate degrees in social science
research methods, they have worked so long in and with special districts and other local
governments that they are extremely savvy about the real world contingencies of bringing a
credible and useful piece of survey research to clients.
Suii rveys&t mm II NR C's i re II s iii ii mm s s
100%of II II IIrk Il products is ur lllla tee s uu III e.s,focuis g r uu It s and
secourujary ar4III„s s,
ul1i 1
II urIii u
Ul l s S
f U F"Ie s l
ic hi
I I I II Ifnance fnea&rII Ifnert
........
III °°°
II In
VIII Ilr111 lll II II II ' II . rdh III cuffs liiiis II II r r liiii II I °11111 III VIII lrinlrr.II I°
m Ill Ilk
IIII III
IINeed ass ssrn Mn/ a I n 111 slii
II II1._. , II f e r"r"r"ri e r" 7 5 III
'Ycp
III III
III
II C a r"i /Ass od at 0 r"I III
116.
