Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment Experience NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY AS A COMPONENT OF A PARKS, RECREATION, & OPEN SPACE MASTER PLAN (2007) Atlanta, Georgia The City of Atlanta is currently conducting a Community Attitude and Interest Survey to determine the need for future parks, greenspace, trails, recreation facilities, programs, and services within the City. The survey was designed to obtain statistically valid results from households throughout the City of Atlanta. The survey was administered by a combination of mail and phone. Leisure Vision worked extensively with City of Atlanta officials in the development of the survey questionnaire. This work included conducting a series of stakeholder interviews and focus groups in the City of Atlanta. All survey results were broken down by gender, age of j t respondent, length of residency, as well as geographic location.
