o On Saturday, February 26 the OVAL hosted the Red Bull Pond Hockey Championships. 32 <br /> teams competed on 8 outdoor rinks. 25 US teams competed in addition to 3 international <br /> teams and 4 Canadian teams. <br /> o March 7 is the annual Parks and Recreation Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. <br /> o Thank you to all Commissioners that represented Parks and Recreation at the February 19 Roseville <br /> Home and Garden Show. <br /> o Two Parks and Recreation Commission positions will be open April 1. Seven applications have been <br /> received for the Parks and Recreation positions. Overall, there were 28 applications for open <br /> commission positions city-wide. <br /> o Thank you Jim Stark for your 6 years of service to the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br /> Your efforts and expertise are so much appreciated. <br /> 6. ELECTION OF CHAIR and VICE CHAIR <br /> Commission Recommendation: <br /> Motion by Pederson, second by Ristow to nominate Jason Etten to the position of Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission Chair. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Motion by Ristow, second by Pederson to nominate Dave Holt to the position of Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission Vice Chair. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> 7. OTHER <br /> o Etten recognized Commission Chair Stark for his 6 years of service to the community and the Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission. <br /> o Jim Stark shared his pleasure to serve on this Commission. This was an opportunity to give back to the <br /> City. Stark mentioned the best part of being involved on the Parks and Recreation Commission has been <br /> getting to know the other Commissioners and the Parks and Recreation Staff.
