Several members of the public were present at the public hearing to comment on <br />66 the proposal, providing additional facts that were consistent with those cited in the 2008 <br />6 7' denial. After closing the public hearing, the Planning Commission unanimously (i.e., 6-0) <br />68 to recommend denial of the proposed CONDITIONAL USE. Chair Boerigter recused himself <br />69 from the discussion and abstained from the vote to avoid the appearance of a conflict of <br />7'0 interest since the property owner in this request is a client of Chair Boerigter's employer. <br />7'1 6.2 As of the date this report was prepared, Planning Division staff had received several <br />7'2 emails and phone calls from nearby homeowners indicating their opposition to this <br />7`3 application.
