Introductions/Public Comment Invited <br /> Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br /> encouraged. <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes of the October 4, 2011 Meeting <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of October 4, 2011. Please be prepared to approve or <br /> amend. <br /> Requested Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of October 4, 2011 <br /> 3. Introduce Youth Commissioner <br /> Last month Chloe Boehm visited the Parks and Recreation Commission to introduce herself <br /> and indicated a strong interest in serving the role of Youth Commissioner. This is a non- <br /> voting member that serves for a 1 year period. On Monday October 17, 2011 the City <br /> Council appointed Ms.Boehm to serve as youth Commissioner until July 31, 2012. <br /> CONGRATULATIONS! <br /> Requested Action: Welcome and congratulate Chloe <br /> 4. Staff Introductions <br /> This is a continued item to introduce staff members in order for Commissioners to put a <br /> name to a face. Several will be in attendance at your November meeting to be introduced <br /> and speak of their backgrounds and roles in the Department. Included in your packet is an <br /> organizational chart for you reference. <br /> Requested Action: Staff introductions <br /> 5. Community Engagement Task Force Report <br /> Greg Simbeck and Randall Doneen serve on the Human Rights Commission Community <br /> Engagement Task Force as representatives of the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br /> Simbeck and Doneen will be prepared to report on the latest progress on this effort. <br /> Requested Action: Commission Discussion and feedback <br /> 6. 2012 Commission Meeting Calendar <br /> Finalize 2012 meeting calendar, modified draft from October meeting is attached. <br /> Requested Action: Discuss and set annual meeting calendar for 2012 <br /> 7. Master Plan Implementation Discussion <br /> This is continued discussion about the Master Plan Implementation. <br /> Commission representatives and staff will plan to review progress to date. This is a time to <br /> gather continued guidance/direction from the entire commission. <br />
