Date: 5/23/11 <br />Item: 5.a <br />.. ........... ....... <br />TA <br />01 <br />In Appreciation <br />Wendy Hatch <br />Whereas: The Girl Scouts of the USA has provided young women leadership opportunities <br />for more than 90 years; and <br />Whereas: The City of Roseville is committed to recognizing and honoring volunteerism and <br />the hard work of members of the community; and <br />Whereas: Wendy Hatch is a member of Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River <br />Valleys; and <br />Whereas: Wendy's love of history led her to create A Look Back at Roseville; and <br />Whereas: Wendy conducted research and created a community display that informs people <br />about the history of the area and the merging of two high schools to create the Roseville Area <br />High School in an effort to encourage open dialogue, understanding and appreciation of the <br />community; and <br />Whereas: In recognition of Wendy's hard work, she has achieved the Girl Scout Gold <br />Award,, the highest award in Girl Scouting. <br />Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council hereby declare May 23, 2011, to be Girl <br />Scout Day in the City of Roseville and urges all citizens to recognize Wendy Hatch's <br />accomplishments of earning the Girl Scout Gold Award. <br />In the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, U.S.A. <br />In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Roseville <br />to be affixed this 23rd day of May 2011. <br />Mayor Daniel J.
