Attachment E <br />40 Public Comment <br />41 Written comment was received via e-mail from Megan Dushin, 2249 St. Stephen Street, on this <br />42 item and was included as a bench handout,, attached hereto and made apart hereof. <br />4,'3 No one was present in the audience to speak on this issue. <br />44, Johnson moved,, Punt seconded, approval of the proposed PRELIMINARY PLAT at 2285 <br />45 Walnut Street; based on the comments and findings of Sections 4-6, and the recommendations of <br />46 Section 7 of the Request for Council Action (RCA) dated April 11, 2011. <br />4 7, At the request of Councilmember Punt, Mr. Paschke confirmed that all engineering items would <br />48 be completed as part of the Final Plat approval and a component of the Public Improvement <br />49 Contract,, with most items already addressed. <br />5o At further request of Councilmember Punt, Mr. Paschke reviewed apparent concerns of the <br />51 minority of Planning Commissioners that those infrastructure and utility items were still in <br />52 design stages; and that the information would be included in agenda pack materials aterials when Final <br />5'3 Plat approval comes forward. <br />54 At the request of Councilmember Willmus, Mr. Paschke confirmed that Parks and Recreation <br />55 Commission recommendations for park dedication fees for this development would be acted on <br />56 separately by the City Council as part of the Final Plat approval process. <br />5 7, At the request of Councilmember McGehee, Mr. Paschke advised that the property owner was <br />58 responsible for costs of any additional curb cuts or site development. <br />59 Mayor Roe spoke in support of the motion; and while recognizing the need to maximize parcels, <br />6o he opined that a different development could come forward as the process proceeded. <br />61 Roll Call <br />62 Ayes: Willmus; McGehee; Punt; Johnson; and Roe. <br />6'3 Nays: None. <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
