<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota <br />was duly held on the 22nd day of June, 1987, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Cushman, Matson, Kehr, <br />Johnson, and Wiski, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8152 <br /> <br />Resolution approving House File No. 955, Chapter 257, <br />Amendment of Minnesota Law 1985, Chapter 301, Section 3, <br />which allows the governing body of the City of Roseville <br />to exercise all powers of a Port Authority as provided by <br />Chapter 458, as if the City were a Port Authority, and the <br />City may exercise all powers relating to a Port Authority <br />granted the City by Minnesota Statute Chapter 458 or other <br />law. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Laws of Minnesota 1985, Chapter 301, Section 3, provided <br />for Port Authority powers for the City of Roseville; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, House File 955, Chapter No. 257, grants additional <br />authority to the City to act as if it were a Port Authority; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 645.021 requires approval of a special <br />law by the affected local government; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council, of the <br />City of Roseville, does hereby approve Minnesota Law 1985, <br />Chapter 301, as amended by House File No. 555, Chapter 257, and <br />the City Manager is directed to file the required ceritficate and <br />certified copy of this resolution with the Minnesota Secretary of <br />State. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Kehr and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Cushman, Matson, Kehr, <br />Johnson, and Wiski, and the following voted against the same: <br />None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
