EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 22nd day of June, 1987, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Cushman, Matson, Kehr, Johnson, and Wiski, and the following were absent: None. Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 8152 Resolution approving House File No. 955, Chapter 257, Amendment of Minnesota Law 1985, Chapter 301, Section 3, which allows the governing body of the City of Roseville to exercise all powers of a Port Authority as provided by Chapter 458, as if the City were a Port Authority, and the City may exercise all powers relating to a Port Authority granted the City by Minnesota Statute Chapter 458 or other law. WHEREAS, Laws of Minnesota 1985, Chapter 301, Section 3, provided for Port Authority powers for the City of Roseville; and, WHEREAS, House File 955, Chapter No. 257, grants additional authority to the City to act as if it were a Port Authority; and, WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 645.021 requires approval of a special law by the affected local government; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council, of the City of Roseville, does hereby approve Minnesota Law 1985, Chapter 301, as amended by House File No. 555, Chapter 257, and the City Manager is directed to file the required ceritficate and certified copy of this resolution with the Minnesota Secretary of State. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Kehr and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Cushman, Matson, Kehr, Johnson, and Wiski, and the following voted against the same: None. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
