ROSHWEEE <br />1XIEQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 9-12-11 <br />Item No.: 7. h <br />City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Approve Cooperative Maintenance Agreement for Lake Bennett <br />Public Fishing Pier <br />11 BACKGROUND <br />2 The Fishing Pier in Central Park �Labe �Bennett is a joint project with the �Minnesota <br />3 Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and is due for replacement. <br />4, <br />5 Attached is an agreement between the CAN and the City of Roseville to remove and <br />6 replace the Pier. The CS will provide the materials and supplies for the project and the <br />"7 City will provide the labor to remove and replace the pier. The project is expected to <br />8 begin September 14, 2011 and be completed by October 12, 2011 <br />9 POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />110 This proposal is consistent with the policy of leveraging non-city resources for projects <br />11 and the project is consistent with the Parks and Recreation System Master Plan. <br />12 BUDGET IMPLICATIONS <br />13 The anticpated labor cost to the City is $6,'4081.00. <br />14, <br />15 The estimated cost of the pier materials and supplies contributed by the CAN is <br />116 $3078100.00. <br />1 "7 <br />118 Based on the City's experience, there is anticipated to be minimal ongoing upkeep on <br />119 the pier.
