<br />At the August 2121nd meeting, the proposed 1984 budget and uses of General ]Revenu-,.
<br />Shilaring were presented,
<br />The piropoisied, budget, called for expenditures of' $llr943r846, or 8.7% over 1983. The
<br />proposed tax levy needed to finance the budget, was $4,,2110-653,r Or 15*4% over 1983,
<br />That, resulted, in a MJ_11 rate of 12,.46 mIlls, or 1.11 mills over 1983.
<br />However, since the proposed, budget was prepared, the City has been notified of yet
<br />another reduction in Local, Government Aids (LIGA) of $37,322. This is in addition to
<br />a
<br />previously announced reductions of $254,693- for a, total of $2920,015. Reducti
<br />IF lons in
<br />LIGA now eliqual 31% of 1,983, aids.
<br />The proposed, .,uses of 11984 General Revenue Sharing funds are as below, and total
<br />$12911600. This Includes an additlonal $30,000 be designated for band -shell purposes.
<br />'This provides a total. of $70FOOO ($40,000 trom capital budget) for the band shell to

<br />It 'is also recoTmTtenided that Revenue Sharing funds from prior years ($57,000) be
<br />authorized to fund data proicessing -improvements of $42,700, and a heating system for
<br />Fire Station #2 of $14,,3001,

<br />The 1984 1988 Capital irrprovement Program, was scheduled to be reviewed by the

<br />Planning, Commission (for coEpatibility to Comprehensive Plan) at their September 7.
<br />_1983 meeting,.l If that rieviliew is conpletedi, the Counicil could also adopt the 1984 - 1988
<br />program.1
<br />Council Alictions Requested: 1): Motion adopting the annual budget for the fiscal year
<br />beg Inning January 1. 1984, and ending December 31,,
<br />1984.
<br />2) Motlon adopting a resolution certifying the tax levy
<br />to the County Auditor. for collection during 1984 for
<br />the purpose of operating the ClIty of Roseville,
<br />3) Motion adopting, a resolution Instructinq the County
<br />Auditor to reiduce the established tax levy for Golf
<br />Course bonds and, General Improvement bonds.
