The sharing of <br />programs, in many cases, may bring about a reduction in staffing. This does add another <br />level of complexity to deal with when discussing the sharing of programs and services. <br />Community Education programming, especially the senior citizens program, and <br />recreational programming are prime candidates for reducing duplication of services. <br />Cornerstone #2: Request that the City of Roseville assist in planning for the return <br />of the Lake Owasso School to School District control from a long-term lease. <br />Responsible District Administrator — John Thein and Bob Rygh <br />Team Composition — INCA, City of Roseville Staff, School Board, City Council, Urban <br />Planners <br />Planning Timeline — Continuous <br />Pilot Project — None <br />Projected Implementation — August 2008 <br />Action to Date: Meetings have taken place between the Executive Director of the Cable <br />Commission and District Staff The proposal is on the table for an agreement between the <br />district and the North Suburban cable commission to lease/lease purchase the Lake <br />Owasso School. The City of Roseville has also been represented in these discussions. A <br />meeting has also been set up with the Comcast Cable Company to workout a separation <br />agreement. The district has been successful, due to the leadership of Senator Marty and <br />Representative Greiling, in enacting legislation that will allow Alternative Bonding <br />authority after the district divests itself of the Lake Owasso School.
