Donation of 'Equipment: <br />'This would address the liability issue of donated equipi-nent and provide 11-11111unity from <br />civil or criminal Lawsuit of any equipment donated by a public safety organization to any <br />other entity. While iio lawsuit hasOCCUrred in Minnesota to the best of our 10-lowledge) <br />there has been hesitancy for departments to donate equi , pment due to this concern. In <br />some cases,, excess equipment has been donated to fire deprailnlents in enierging <br />Countries, <br />First Responder Relimbursenient-, <br />'nis would re�quirc insurance compames that provide, health care policies to reiniburse <br />responding agencies that send an invoice for their services. Currcnt law allows fire <br />departments (and 1_,NB and Police) to send. invoices; however, there is not current <br />requirement to pay.
