Thomas Paschkie
Fr=: Phil Cooper [ph ll@wilder.org]
Sent.: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 7-131 Al
Toil lill Thomas Paschke
Sdbject: Comments on Har Mar Apartments Proposal
I olwn, a unit and live at Rosiewood Village Condominiums which is next door to the Har
Mar Apartments. I have seen some of the initial plans for the redevelopment and have a
few comments.
1 think that the existing buildings do need renovation or replacement.
They have bel,le n- in poor shape for many years, and it i's good that something is fina
being done,, ablout them. However, I do have some concerns about the plans. I
The first concern is drainage. We have had a lot of problems over the years related to rain
water drainage, and we have spent a lot of money fixing ose problems, So, I want to be
sure, that any dievelopnaent on the adjacent property does not cause us new water
problems,.,
I can not tell frorn the plans if they are proposing any kind of a playground area or child
area In their grounds. We have equipment for children who reside at Rosewood, and the
should have something similar at Har Mar.. I know there is a park at B and Fairview, but
that's, a bit of a hike for little ki4s. I
With the newbuilding coming so, close to the property line, some type of screening
(fencing anid/lor plantinars) would be good to include,,
4z;II IF
Pleasie contact me if you have any questions about my notes. I will take a look at the
agenda, you post on Friday, too. T hanks for asking for comments.
Phil Cooper
1650 W.
