Final Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) <br />SRFC Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative (SS/HS) <br />Connections Grant Partners of Suburban Ramsey County <br />SS/HS Project Strategies: <br />Universal Prevention <br />1. Improve School Climate via a four-district consortium Positive Behavioral <br />Intervention System (P IS) model and vigilance to School Connectedness activities <br />year round . <br />2. Increase education and skills of school staff, students, parents, and community via <br />newsletters, trainings, workshops, support groups and community events to increase <br />protective factors and decrease risk factors of children and youth of all ages, and their <br />families via trainings, workshops, support groups and issue specific community <br />meetings. <br />3. Increase cross cultural education and social and cultural competence of school staff, <br />students, parents, and community via ongoing cross cultural dialogues, events, groups, <br />activities and anti-bias training. <br />4. Engage and involve youth and parents in guiding risk prevention/reduction efforts in <br />the school and community <br />5. Student overt and covert behavior risk and threat identification training for all District <br />Interdisciplinary teams. <br />6. Engage parents and students in school and community functions to build family <br />engagement, parent involvement and school/community connectedness. <br />W-17 9 <br />-Eariy Intervention 7th nth 7. Target school supports for kids entering 7 9 <br />and grades via Day One/School <br />orientation and welcoming programs lead by their peers and supported by school <br />staff, parents and other community members. <br />8. Hold monthly Interdisciplinary teaming, as study and risk assessment/table top <br />threat assessment discussions between school and community student support staff <br />with emphasis on risk/threat identifi cation, assessment, management; service <br />coordinated planning/wrap around processes emphasizing full family inclusion, <br />multi-cultural needs assessment, and referral protocols from Student Assistance <br />Teams (SAT's) to the Coordinated Service Teams (CST's). The Interdisciplinary <br />Teams (IdTeams) will learn more about the goals/strategies of the Safe <br />Schools/Healthy Students Initiative (SS/HS) and to address how all disciplines can <br />work better together to serve children, youth and families more holistically in hopes <br />of preventing more deep-end issues. <br />9. Coordinate services with school-linked programs and community partnerships for <br />students identified as at-risk of engaging in, or experiencing, negative or violent <br />behavior. <br />Intensive Intervention <br />10. Coordinate services with school-linked programs, community partnerships and <br />county partnerships for students identified as being at highest risk of, or already <br />engaging in negative or violent behavior. <br />ZM� <br />
