<br />SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES
<br />The COU��NTY OF �RAMSEY, hereinafter referred to, as the "COUNTY" and the CITY OF
<br />ROSEVILLE, hereinafter referred to as the "CITY", enter into this Agreement for the period
<br />from May 1, 2,00�8, through, September 30, 2008.
<br />VVI�TNESSETH:
<br />rIEREAS, pursuant to MINN. STAT. Chapter 816B, the Ramsey County Sheriff has the
<br />obligation to maintain a program of search, rescue, buoying or
<br />marking, patrol,, remolval of hazards to navigation, a�nd inspection of watercraft relafing to
<br />lake use ("Prograrn Services"), and
<br />'IT'AERJEAS, , the COUNTY and the CITY desire to, enter into a Joint powers agreement
<br />pursuant to MININ. ST'A,T. §471.59, to have the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office provide
<br />Program Services on the sur-face and shorelines of Lakel Owasso,
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, TH�E COUNTY AND THE CITY AGREE AS FOLLOWS.-
<br />1, The Rarnsely,Couinty Sheriff shall provide Program Services, as well as enforcement of all-
<br />apipliciabl�e CITY ordinances relating to water safety and use (collectively, "Contracl
<br />Slerivicies") to the CITY loin the surface and shoreline of Lake Owasso to the extent and in
<br />thie manner hereinafter seit forth, in addition tol the patrol and police services regularly
<br />provided.
<br />3. The COUNTY agrees to provide trained uniformed deputies with proper equipment,
<br />identification, and commun�i'cations on Lake Owasso d'ur,ing all hours that Contract Services
<br />ow.re provideld by the Ramsey County Sheriff under this Agreement,
<br />4. 'The number of hours of Contract Services, to bei provided during the Term of this
<br />Agreement shall be, as follows, Winter Patrol-, zero (0) hours, Summer Patrol- forty two (42)
<br />hours., It 'is, agreed that the schedule of days and hours of work shall be determined at the
<br />I iscretion olf the Rairnsley County Sheriff with emphasis being placed on weekends and
<br />holidays.
<br />5. All Deputy Sheriffs, clerks, dispatchers and all other, personnel performing duties pursuant
<br />de,ried employees of the COUNTY for all
<br />to this Agreement shall at all times be consi
