lls1Spvq+_J� REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Department Approval Date.- August 11, 2008 Item No..- 13.a City Manager Approval I��YI�� Item Description.- Discuss Steps to Implement Imagine Roseville Priorities I BACKGROUND 2 At the April 28, 2008, City Council meeting, the Council discussed Attachment A and provided 3 staff with direction and budget authorization to proceed toward completing the Imagine 4 Roseville 2025 goals. To date, most of the priorities have been funded or addressed. With those decisions,, there remains a balance that may be used to further the most expensive and unfunded) 6 of the identified priorities, the updating of the Parks Master Plan. "7 FINANCIAL IMPACTS 8 The Council had budgeted $,80,000 to implement Imagine Roseville 2025 goals in 2008. At the 9 April meeting the Council approved the spending plan to meet certain goals. Attachment B I ('_) reflects the decisions of what to spend. The attachment includes the HRA funding of Code "I'll Enforcement Expenses which offsets some of the expenditures. A balance of 4�4�,000 remains in 12 the budget for the Imagine Roseville 2025 priorities. 13 STAFF RECOMMENDATION 14 Staff recommends considering allocating the remaining funds to begin updating the Parks and I Recreation Master Plan. The funding will allow the City to begin the multi-year project to assess 16 and improve Roseville's parks system. Additional funding in the 2009 budget will be necessary 17 to complete the estimated $,150,000 project.
