Attachment A <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due all and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 10th day of November, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION <br />"9 <br />Okow I VA 0 Me I M1 U 19N r•au zmd <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Trade Commission, in conjunction with other federal agencies, has adopted an <br />"Identity Theft Red Flag Rule" which requires all creditors, to develop an "Identity Theft Prevention <br />Program" ; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville's water and sewer function meets the FTC's definition of a creditor <br />because we provide services up front with the intent to collect monies at a later date. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, that an <br />Identity Theft Prevention Program is hereby established and that this Program complies with the Federal <br />Trade Commission 9 s "Red Flag Rule <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member <br />and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />State of Minnesota) <br />) SS <br />County of Ramsey) <br />1, undersigned, being the duly qualified City Manager of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of <br />Minnesota, do hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes <br />of a regular meeting of said City Council held on the I Oth day of November, 2008 with the original thereof <br />on file in my office. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
