Date: 10/27/08 <br />Item: 5. a <br />Fire Explorers, <br />Post 547 <br />The Roseville Fire Explorer Post #547 was created in 2000. The Exploring <br />program allows, students, between the ages, of 14 and 21 the opportunity to <br />learn what it is like to become a firefighter. They are trained on both fire <br />fighting and emergency medical skills,. <br />Since the inception of the post, they have won many awards,. The post <br />continued its winning ways, this year at the Fire Explorer Challenge at the <br />Governor's, Fire Prevention Day, which was held at the State Fair grounds,. <br />The post faced stiff competition from 13 other teams, from acros,s, the state. <br />However, it was their day to shine, taking 1st place in the event. <br />Congratulations, to Noah Ciernia, Ryan Buelow, Tom Borden, Alex <br />B,relland, Tim Picha, Nick Strauss, and Mitch Goggins, for this great <br />achievement. <br />Thank you to Deputy Chief Greg Peterson, Deputy Chief Bill Chandler, <br />Lieutenants, Kris,ti Sjostrom, Joe Friedrichs,, Firefighters, Bill Buelow, A.J. <br />Neis,, and Andy Chandler for volunteering to be the post advisors,. The post <br />continues, their winning ways, in part to their commitment and leadership. <br />
