The cost of <br />3 i regulating and/or responding to these particular activities has increased, necessitating a higher fee. Absent <br />32 fee increases charged to individuals, general taxpayers will have to bear the burden. <br />33 <br />34 Eire Safely & CPR / AED Training <br />35 One of the goals of IR2025 was to develop a program to provide fire safety, CPR/AED, and fire <br />36 extinguisher training to Roseville citizens and businesses. The proposed fees will offset the associated <br />37 salaries,, benefits,, and training materials. <br />38 <br />39 Assessment Searches <br />Assessments: We are required. to keep records of all assessments for City Projects. On occasion we will be <br />4 'i asked. to perform searches which can take 2, to 3 hours of staff time. Staff also maintains a list of deferred. and. <br />42 pending assessments. These fees are proposed. to offset staff time for these inquiries. <br />43 <br />44 Construction Noise Variance <br />4�` Construction Noise Variance: City Code Section 405.03 HOURLY RESTRICTIONS OF CERTAIN <br />46 OPERATIONS which permits construction activities to occur between the hours of seven o'clock (7.-00)l <br />47 A. M. and ten o'clockk 10. -0 0), P.M. on any weekday, or between the hours o f nine o'clockk (9.- 0 0), A. M. and <br />4,,, nine o'clock (9.-00), P.M. on any weekend or legal holidays. A variance to this section of code requires a <br />49 Public Hearing before the City Council, per code section 405.04. This fee is to cover the public hearing <br />notice,, mailing costs, and staff time to process the request. <br />1 <br />52 Street Patching Fee <br />3 This fee is collected. when a single family residential property applies for a utility permit where the contractor <br />4 excavates within the street. This only applies for existing homes performing repair work on utilities. Not new <br />55 construction. The proposed fee is $,600 without a curb,, and. $, 1,,000 without a curb. <br />56 POLICY OBJECTIVE <br />7 Adopting an annual fee schedule is consistent with governmental best practices and ensures that the City's <br />regulatory functions are properly funded. <br />59 FINANCIAL IMPACTS <br />Based on the recommended fee adjustments,, it is projected that revised fees will generate revenues <br />6 1 sufficient to cover the City's added regulatory costs.
