Attachment B <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and. notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, <br />was duly called. and. held. at the City Hall on Monday, the 20th day of October 2008 at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present:; <br />and. the following were absent:. <br />Councilmember introduced. the following resolution and. moved. its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. XXXXX <br />APPROVING DEED CONTAMINATION INVESTIGATION GRANT APPLICATION, <br />COMMITTING LOCAL MATCH, AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT SIGNATURE <br />WHEREAS the City of Roseville (the City) is acting as the legal sponsor for projects) contained in the <br />Contamination Cleanup Grant Program to be submitted. on November 3, 2008, and that the Mayor and City <br />Manager (City Clerk) are hereby authorized to apply to the Department of Employment and Economic <br />Development for funding of this project on behalf of the City of Roseville. <br />WHEREAS the City of Roseville has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance, and. the institutional, <br />managerial, and. financial capability to ensure adequate prQject administration. <br />WHEREAS the City has approved. the Contamination Investigation Grant Application to be submitted to the <br />Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) on November 3, 2008, by the City of Roseville <br />for the PIK site within the Twin Lakes Project Area. <br />WHEREAS the sources and. amounts of the local match identified. in the application are committed. to the prQj'ect <br />identified.. <br />WHEREAS the City of Roseville has not violated. any Federal, State or local laws pertaining to frau.d., bribery, <br />graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or other unlawful or corrupt practice. <br />WHEREAS upon approval of its application by the state, the City of Roseville may enter into an agreement with <br />the State of Minnesota for the above-referenced project(s), and that the City of Roseville certifies that it will <br />comply with all applicable laws and regulation as stated in all contract agreements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager (City Clerk) are hereby authorized to <br />execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the projects) on behalf of the applicant. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded. by Councilmember Pu.st, and. <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted. in favor: <br />and. voted. against: . <br />IN i <br />lq� I M'611111 MARROW- 1919 M44 IJMR�11 <br />
