Changing market and economic <br />dynamics and the protracted political process combined so that none of these proposals exit today. <br />The Steering Committee recommendations have addressed the political process roadblocks and while <br />the Community Mixed Use category allows for a broad range of land uses, it still contains a 100, 000 s. f. <br />building footprint limitation that would have eliminated some of the previous plans. Councilmember <br />Dan Roe indicated to me when I met with him that he wanted the Comp Plan and its land use categories <br />to be "Prescriptive"', offering guidelines, rather than "proscriptive" with specific requirements. That is <br />the typical and prudent approach to Comprehensive Plans. <br />UEM161 <br />
