Then he told the Pioneer <br />Press the week before the election that he switched positions and decided to support the election., Then 22 hours <br />after the election was over with, he then changed his position back to wanting an appointment. <br />As you can see, this issue was decided well before the election. No one bothered changing the ordinance <br />six months, or a year ago, because no one disagreed on this "issue. Depending on the timefranie, you had either 4 <br />or 5 votes for this. I guess it wasn't a pressing issue. We all knew that we had to get it done before the end of <br />the year,. tt was, not a big issue until Klausing started flip-filopping, his position. Frankly, I persona.Ity don't <br />believe that it really is a big *issue now, because most everyone made their opinions known months ago. <br />Moving forward on what most of use committed to 6 months ago is rising above the pettiness to a higher <br />level of leadership and. careful glovernment. To suddenly change our longstanding positions now and decide to <br />leave the vacancy to a 2-year appointment would be going back on our word. <br />
