Attachment A <br />101 DV N 10 Nmel <br />Wei I we] 0 M1_11 ow I N M i <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 3rd day of March 2008, at 6:00 p.m. <br />3 The following members were present: <br />1/111111 and was absent. <br />5 Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />6 RESOLUTION NO, <br />7 RESOLUTION OF'AP,P,RECIATION FOR <br />111`1'1111 <br />SP,ON O AND VOLUNTEE OF'' TAI <br />C/', <br />2008 HOME AND GARDEN FAIR <br />WHEREAS, the City Council encourages community participation in city-wide events and welcomes the <br />participation and leadership of volunteers at such events; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City since 1997 has sponsored, along with the Housing & Redevelopment <br />Authority, a Home and Garden Fair as a means of encouraging home reinvestment in the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the Home and Garden Fair has become increasingly popular with the vital <br />participation of Fair Sponsors and Volunteers; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 23, 2008 the twelfth annual Home and Garden Fair was successfully <br />held with the participation of 64 exhibitors and 1000 visitors to the Fair (within a five-hour period). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council hereby acknowledges <br />and wishes to express their appreciation to the Sponsors, Home and Garden Fair Committee and various <br />volunteers who successfully planned and implemented all the activities to assure the Fair's success. <br />Private Corporate Sponsors: <br />Bremer Bank - Roseville <br />Kath Heating, A/C and Electric <br />Linder's Greenhouse & Garden Center <br />Quarve Contracting, Inc. <br />Renewal by Andersen <br />Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. <br />Members of the Home and Garden Fair Coordinating Committee: <br />Cindy Severson, Lillie Suburban Newspapers <br />Shirley F'riberg, Community Volunteer <br />Lynnae LeBarron, Community Volunteer <br />Polly Heaton, Fairview Community Center <br />Janell Wampler, Roseville Area Senior Program <br />Jeff Evenson & Jill Anfang, Roseville Parks & Recreation <br />Tim Pratt & Carolyn Curti, Roseville Administration <br />Kara Hoier, Roseville Community Development/Roseville HRA <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
