City of Roseville <br />ORDINANCE No, <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1, <br />SECTION 103.06, FILLING A COUNCIL VACANCY <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br />SECTION I: Title 1, Section 103.00 of the Roseville City Code is amended to read as follows: <br />103.06: FILLING A COUNCIL VACANCY: <br />A. Appointment: The Council shall appoint an eligible person to fill a vacancy on the City <br />Council as soon as is practicable after the vacancy occurs. The person appointed shall <br />serve for the unexpired portion of the term unless a special election is required hereunder <br />or by state law. <br />B. Special Election: A special election shall be held to fill a vacancy on the City Council <br />if <br />the vacancy occurs more <br />than S_4(63) m. -.n+� ten (l0) weeks before the first day to file affidavits of candidacy for <br />e e <br />the next regular city election. This special election shall be held as soon after the <br />vacancy is declared as is practical under state law. No special primary election shall <br />occur in cases of special elections held pursuant to this section. <br />SECTION II: Effective date.
