Staff has the "Clean Air and Climate Protection Software" from ICLEI
(Local Governments for Sustainability) and it appears it will be very helpful in
identifying our current levels of energy usage and to help create measures to decrease our
carbon footprint.
Policy /Goal To take advantage of assistance offered by organizations.
Details /Actions Identify all organizations we have not yet researched for
assistance, rebates, free audits, etc. that is available. Research to
identify all that is out there; our time would be rewarded by
energy awareness and savings.
Cost/Saving
Timeline ongoing
Responsible
Staff All
8.2 Environmentally Preferred Purchasing Policy
Background The State of Minnesota has an Environmentally Preferred Purchasing
policy through their Materials Management Division - Environmentally Responsible
Purchasing.
